Turkey's economy is a complex mix of agriculture, traditional craftsmanship and modern industries, increasingly dominated by the latter.
Turkey ranks 7th worldwide in terms of agricultural production output in 2005.
As of March 2007, Turkey is the world's producer of fig, apricot, quince and pomegranate largest producer of watermelon, cucumber and chickpea largest producer of tomato, eggplant, green pepper and lentil largest producer of onion and olive largest producer of sugar beet Textiles and clothing is the largest industry (16.3%) and has the largest share in total exports (19% )
