BODRUM

Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site located in Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which enjoys a temperate climate over the greater part of the year.

The ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of the white "castle“ . It was the most popular Roman “SPA” visited by emperors .

There are several thermal springs in this region. The red water (Karahayit) is one of the most famous of them.

The natural wonder of the the terraces, the ancient city and the springs all together with the easy access to the area make this place a very popular site.

More than 300km of turquoise beaches, also known as Turkish Riviera.

Pamukkale is UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.
